AI calorie tracker
Take a photo. Check it. Log it.
Spotwell’s Food Snap names the dish, splits it into separate foods and estimates the grams, calories and macros of each. You stay in charge: change anything before it’s logged.

How the AI tracker works
Photo to foods
A cloud AI model reads the photo and returns each food on the plate with an estimated weight. It takes a few seconds.
Pick the cut
A photo can’t show ribeye versus sirloin or chicken skin on or off. Tap the right one and the calories update for the same grams.
Or describe it
Type or say “oat latte and a blueberry muffin” and Spotwell fills in the foods and amounts.
Exact values when you have them
For packaged food, scan the barcode or the nutrition label instead of estimating.
Questions
- How accurate is AI calorie tracking?
- It is an estimate. In our tests, repeat photos of the same plate landed within about 10% of each other most of the time. Hidden oil, sauces and portion depth are the usual sources of error, so check the grams on anything calorie-dense.
- Does it work offline?
- No. Photo analysis needs a connection. Manual logging and search work as usual.
- Is it free?
- Tracking is free. Pro unlocks the AI tools, and every free account gets 5 Pro uses a month to try them.
