Cal AI alternative
Photo calorie tracking, plus the training to go with it.
Cal AI made photo logging popular. Spotwell does that too, then adds what photo-only trackers leave out: a training plan, set-by-set workout logging, fasting and supplements, all on one timeline.

Why people switch
Photo logging that asks when it can’t see
Food Snap names the dish and splits it into foods. When a photo can’t show the cut of steak or the chicken skin, you pick it in one tap and the calories update.
Your workouts in the same app
Plan your week, log sets with weight, reps and rest, and see training next to what you ate. No second app for the gym.
Barcode, label and plain words
Scan packaged food, read a nutrition label, or type “two eggs and toast.” Use whichever is fastest for the meal.
Fasting, sleep and supplements
A fasting timer, sleep and water logs, and scheduled supplement doses, reviewed together each week.
Is Spotwell the right switch?
Good fit if you
- Lift or train and want food and workouts together
- Like photo logging but want to correct it quickly
- Track fasting, sleep or supplements too
You may prefer a food-only app if you
- Only ever want to count calories
- Don’t care about workouts or habits
- Use Android (Spotwell is iPhone only)

- Tracking is free. Pro unlocks the AI tools, including Food Snap, and every free account gets 5 Pro uses a month to try them.
- How accurate is Spotwell’s photo logging?
- It is an estimate. Repeat photos of the same plate land within about 10% of each other most of the time, and you can edit any food or gram before logging.
- Can I bring my data over?
- There is no import from other apps yet. Most people start fresh; your targets take a minute to set up.
