Hevy alternative
A real lifting log, with your food in the same place.
Hevy is a great workout tracker. If you also count calories or protein, you usually need a second app. Spotwell keeps a proper set-by-set log and adds photo, barcode and text food logging next to it.

What you get
Set-by-set logging
Weight, reps, rest and targets for each exercise, with your previous numbers right there.
A plan for the week
Build a program or let the AI workout generator draft a session. See this week at a glance and move missed sessions.
Protein without a second app
Snap your meal or scan a barcode and see protein, carbs and fat for the day next to your training.
Recovery in view
Sleep, water and supplements sit on the same timeline, so a bad session has context.
Is Spotwell the right switch?
Good fit if you
- Train and also track calories or protein
- Want one app instead of a gym log plus a food app
- Like having a plan for the week
You may prefer a gym-only app if you
- Never track food
- Rely on a large social feed of other lifters
- Use Android (Spotwell is iPhone only)
Questions
- Does Spotwell count reps with the camera?
- Yes, for supported exercises. Prop your iPhone up and it counts reps on the device. Most people log sets by hand and use the camera for bodyweight or high-rep work.
- Is the workout log free?
- Yes. Plans and set logging are free. Pro adds the AI workout generator, camera rep counting and the AI food tools.
- Can I import my Hevy history?
- Not yet. You can recreate your routines in a few minutes, or have the AI workout generator draft one.
